"Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine" CJSC has presented its 2025 Sustainability Report, summarizing the work carried out and the results, as well as the changes shaping the Company's development agenda.
ZCMC has been consistently compiling a sustainable development report for the fifth consecutive year, which has also undergone an external audit for the third time. This is an exceptional indicator in Armenia.
For the first time, a double materiality assessment (DMA) was conducted: simultaneously assessing how sustainable development criteria impact the Company's operations, and conversely, the impact of the Company's operations on the environment and communities.
ZCMC is the first in Armenia to conduct an assessment in accordance with the TNFD framework, examining nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities: in the mining sector, interaction with natural resources and ecosystems is a key component of operations.
A climate change strategy for 2026–2040 has been developed, which moves the climate agenda from individual environmental initiatives to the level of long-term business planning.
The report was presented at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
