A unique burial ground has been discovered in Kajaran, on the bank of the Voghji River, which, according to preliminary data, dates back to the 7th-6th centuries BC. Excavations sponsored by the ZCMC have been underway for several months, and unique results of archaeological significance have been unearthed.
According to the head of the archaeological expedition, Harut Badalyan, thanks to the professional and conscientious work of the ZCMC Environmental Protection Department, an exceptional burial ground for Armenia was discovered, with 7 tombs of unique archaeological value.
Back in 2016, ZCMC CJSC signed an agreement with the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the RA National Academy of Sciences under which the Institute committed to study the structures and finds of historical and cultural value discovered in the operating areas of the plant.
