On April 14, 2026, in accordance with the procedure established by law, the first public hearings (discussions) were held on the assessment of the impact on the environment of the planned activities of "Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine" CJSC in the municipalities of Kapan and Kajaran, namely: "Amendment to the development project of the Kajaran copper molybdenum mine in Syunik Province of the Republic of Armenia (including changes in mining volumes and expansion of the mining area)".
