On October 3-4, “Mining Armenia Forum – 2025” was held in Tsaghkadzor.

For the second year in a row, ZCMС CJSC has been the main sponsor of this mega-initiative. In 2025, a number of partners from mining and other sectors joined the company, which once again goes to show the deep knowledge of the business circles about the importance of the mining industry.

The “Mining Armenia Forum – 2025” was attended by reputable international experts and guests from more than a dozen countries who arrived in Armenia and delivered speeches on the latest trends, common problems and solutions in the field during the two-day forum, and participated in panel discussions and debates with members of the RA Government, community leaders, experts from Armenian scientific, educational, public and sectoral organizations, and the ZCMC leadership.

Within the framework of the Forum, in-depth research was presented on the economic impact of the sector and legal and investment issues. Regional comparisons, issues of relations and trust with communities were discussed, sustainable development priorities and the latest international trends were touched upon.

The ZCMC Annual Sustainable Development Report was also presented, and a memorandum was signed between the Mining and Metallurgy Association of Armenia and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

As is known, in the autumn of 2026, Armenia is going to host the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 17). Ahead of this important event, a competition for a project aimed at preserving biodiversity in the mining sector was announced at the Forum, in which mining companies and various non-governmental, scientific and educational institutions can participate. Next year, the winner will be awarded the Prize of John Hobbs, a leading international specialist in the field of environmental protection.
