The Armenian delegation participated in the 5th Annual Conference, “Critical Minerals: Changing the Future” organized by the UK’s “Critical Minerals Association”.
Armenia was represented at the event by Vardan Jhanyan, First Deputy Director General of "Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine" CJSC, Armen Stepanyan, Director for Sustainable Development of "Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine" CJSC, and Harutyun Movsisyan, Head of the Geological Fund of the Republic of Armenia.
Vardan Jhanyan participated in the conference as an invited speaker. During the panel discussion on the topic “Critical Connections: Producers and Users in Dialogue”, he emphasized Armenia’s readiness to consistently develop responsible mining, increase transparency in the sector, and contribute to the sustainability of international critical minerals supply chains.
The investment opportunities and development potential of Armenia’s mining sector were also introduced to the participants.
