Contribution to Society
Throughout its activities, ZCMC has supported and supports community development initiatives that have a wide geographical coverage: Kapan and Kajaran communities with their respective settlements, other regions of Armenia and Yerevan.
Large-scale infrastructure projects
Construction or renovation of kindergartens, community culture centers, music school, etc.
Youth education through sports development
Supporting local football, chess and other sports federations, clubs, and helping young people to participate in local and international tournaments, etc.
Promotion of higher education for more than 600 local students
Merit based tuition payments for local students studying engineering, mining, geology, finance, economics, etc.

Shared Vision
The company recognizes the importance of aligning with the goals and vision of the adjacent communities to provide more targeted and coherent support, taking into account local needs. To this end, the company has already conducted a needs assessment in Syunik region to identify needs and priorities, as well as the vision for the future, and the perceptions about mining industry in general. Based on the assessments, the Company plans its strategic areas of intervention.
ZCMC will work towards more developmental and long-term efforts aimed at economic development, promoting local procurement and local businesses through capacity building, technical assistance, etc.
Regional Cooperation
ZCMC recognizes the important role of partnering with local and regional government bodies to support regional development programs for greater impact and outreach. In spring of 2022, ZCMC signed memoranda of understanding with communities and the provincial government aimed at developing the region through supporting specific sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, community initiatives, etc.
