Large-scale Reforestation Program
According to the trilateral memorandum signed between the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, "Hayantar" SNCO and CJSC “Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine”, reforestation and afforestation works will be carried out on 273 hectares funded by the ZCMC.
Meeting with the students of the Gyumri branch of the Armenian State University of Economics
At the end of the meeting, the participants of the organized quiz will visit Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine.

On October 3-4, “Mining Armenia Forum – 2025” was held in Tsaghkadzor. For the second year in a row, ZCMС CJSC has been the main sponsor of this mega-initiative.

Kajaran
Kajaran is located in the south of Armenia, in Syunik Province. The city is situated 356 km from Yerevan and 25 km from the provincial capital Kapan. It is only 50 km away from the Armenia-Iran border.
Kajaran is located on the banks of the Voghji River, between the Zangezur Mountains and the Meghri mountain range. The highest peak in the region is Mt. Kaputjugh, 3905 m, located west of Kajaran.
Sustainable Development Report-2024

The report was presented during the "Mining Armenia Forum-2025" and got substantive feedback.

BACKGROUND
More than 7 decades ago, in late 1940s, persistent and hard work resulted in the the construction of the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC). The project has a rich history and plays an important role in the development of this region and the country.
Kapan
Kapan is the provincial capital of Syunik. Since November 2017, by consolidating the rural communities in the region, Kapan has become an enlarged community. Kapan is a community affected by the company: the ZCMC's tailings dam at Artsvanik is located in the territory of Kapan community.

TAILINGS FACILITY
The tailings of the enrichment plant are transported to the tailings dam at Artsvanik, located about 32 km from the plant, through a series of underground and overland pipelines and water ducts.
